The Gathering Tabernacle

Kingdom: Power of the Praying Church

Dan Goosetree Season 9 Episode 30

Welcome back to today's episode of The Gathering Tabernacle podcast. We have guest speaker, Jake Kail teaching what happens when the church decides to constantly be in prayer. There is power from God within a praying church. In the early church, prayer was not a last resort but rather a lifestyle. Prayer was a priority to them and should be for us as well. Notice what the early church didn't do. They didn't start protests or petitions, but they would instead petition God. Many churches/Christians today believe that others will share the gospel so why would they have to. The heart of Jesus is not to keep your salvation to yourself. That is not the will of God. Who is going to pray for your family or co-workers if you aren't? What right do we have to try to change God's house? Jesus said His Father's house is a house of prayer. There's a lot of false advertisement in American churches. How do you claim to have a house of God when you don't have prayer as the foundation? It can't be a house of God if there is lack in the prayer life. As we learned in the previous episodes with Jake Kail, we need to have our secret place of prayer. We also need time to pray together as a church. It is okay to pray together!
