Welcome back to today's episode of The Gathering Tabernacle podcast. Today's episode, Pastor Dan is breaking down scripture on what it means to pray through faith. How do you believe something you can't see? How can you pray the promises of God when it looks impossible? This episode is going to help you understand more on what that looks like and how to apply it during your prayer time. You can talk about having faith, but it is not true faith until the words you are speaking are put into action. You can begin to understand what your truly believe in your heart because it is produced through the words that you speak.

Lord, and we praise your holy name, Lord, as today we seek your face, Lord, as today, as today we encounter you, Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, as you're touching each and every person here within the voice, Lord, as you're touching each and every person, Lord. Lord, as we speak a spirit of wisdom and the revelation and the knowledge of you, Lord, that the eyes of their understanding, Lord, being enlightened, Lord, to know the hope of your calling, Lord, to know, Lord, that you are a God of love, Lord. You're not a God of condemnation, Lord. For Lord, you so loved us that you gave your only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in you shall not perish, but have everlasting life, Lord. And you did not send your son into the world to condemn the world, but that they might be saved, that they might be healed, set free, and delivered and made hope. And I'm telling you, today is the day of salvation. I'm telling you, you might have been you might be going down the wrong road, but he came to set you on the right road. He came to set you on the straight and narrow path. Straight is the gate, narrow is the way that leads to life. And I'm telling you, I don't know what's gone on in your past, and I have no idea, but I know there was a savior, and his name was Jesus, and he took on flesh and come to dwell among you. The same power that rose Jesus from the grave lived inside of him. And when you're born again now, the same power that rose Jesus from the grave lives inside of you. And he comes to heal you, he comes to set you free, he comes to deliver you, he come to make you whole. You see, you're a spirit that has a soul that lives in a body. You're a three-part man. And the Lord, the Lord provides healing and deliverance for your three parts of your being, Lord. For your for your spirit, you get a new spirit when you're born again. For your body, you can receive healing. And for your mind, will and emotions, you can see receive deliverance from him. And I'm telling you, today is the day when you receive it. Today is the day. Now faith is. Now faith is. Father, we praise you. Father, we honor you. So I ask you, if you're here today, if you've never made Jesus your Lord, the word says, if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That word saved in your Greek is sozoed. That word saved means you will be healed, set free and delivered and made whole. The word says, for as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God. So I'm asking you today, I'm asking you today, is there anyone here that has never received Christ as Lord, but would like to make him Lord of your life? Would like to make him savior of your life. Anyone, I encourage you anyone, anyone, if there's anyone here in that situation, just raise your hand up. Amen. Would you like to make him Lord of your life today? Come right on up here. Come on up here. Come on up here. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Hallelujah. Amen. Hell lost another one. Amen. For as many as received him. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. The Son sets free is free indeed. Amen. Amen. Father, we thank you. Father, we praise you. Anyone needs specific prayer over any situation in their life. Do that right now. And we'll do it later too, right? What a great day. What a great day in the house of the Lord. Father, we thank you, Lord. We thank you, Lord. We thank you, Lord, who the Son sets free is free indeed. We thank you, Lord, that it's it's not hard to come to you, Lord. It's not hard to come to you. It's not hard to receive you, Lord. It's not hard to walk in you. It's not hard to learn from you. I'm thinking right now. Thinking right now, you know. Finn. Finn, you're a new creation in Christ. The word says you're a new creation in Christ. The old things are gone. Behold, all things have become new. And that's written in the word, and that's a promise. You're a new creation. This is a book and it's full of all these promises of God. I don't know how many thousands of them is in there, but you just you have as much right to every one of these promises in here as the oldest, wisest saying in here. Every one of them is yours. Complete transformation in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright. Let's be seated. Amen. Today. Today is the day of salvation. Today is the day of healing. Today is a day of deliverance. Today, you know, today is the best day of your life. Tomorrow's going to be the best day. And we're just going to keep getting better and better and closer and closer. So we thank you, Lord. We praise you, Lord. We honor you, Lord. Lord, as you have your way, Lord, in this house this morning, Lord. And we are the houses, Lord. We are the temples, Lord. You're the vine. We're the branches, Lord. Lord, as we present ourselves to you, Lord. Lord, that you do what you would do, Lord, in our lives, Lord. Lord, as you transform us, Lord. That we will not be conformed to this world, but we'll be transformed, Lord, by the renewing of our mind, Lord. When we renew our mind, Lord, Lord, to your word. We thank you, Lord, that we have a Holy Spirit guide. And we thank you, Lord, we have the written word to go by, Lord. Lord, we thank you, Lord. All we need, Lord, is is here and is already provided for us, Lord. And we praise you for that in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. And then on July uh 10th through the 12th, Pastor Kristen Sue McDonald will be here from Madison or Marion, Kentucky. Life in Christ Church in Marion, Kentucky. Be a powerful weekend. Be many people born again, healed, and set free. So get them here. It's going to be a powerful weekend. Get your friends. Tell your friends. Tell um Amen. I'm pretty excited. You know, this and one Moral B2 youth camps we've had. So I'm expecting big things and uh and great things to happen. So let's prepare our giving. You know what? It's fun to come to the house to sow seed into the kingdom of God and and and you know when you when you sow seed, you you get a harvest. You know, when you when you sow, when you sow uh when you sow k corn, you get a corn harvest, right? When you sow apples, you get an apple harvest. When you sow cucumbers, you get a cucumber harvest. And to know when you're sowing seed right now into the into the kingdom of God for the hard-earned money you've you've had through the uh through the week or whatever job you have, then then you're sowing seed into the kingdom of God and and it's it's kingdom finances. And and and God God blesses us uh uh uh in every aspect of our life and and he blesses you and your giving too, because only in the kingdom of God, you know, a tithe is is is 10% of your income and then your offerings are over that, but only in the kingdom of God does 90% of your money go further than a hundred. Because when you when you say, you know what, uh Lord, I'm giving you uh part of what I had, you know, just a portion on what of that, and then he blesses uh that and the rest of it, and and 90% of your money goes further than a hundred. Well, well, that don't make sense. Well, it's not sense, it's faith, and it's kingdom faith, and and it does work. We got testimony after testimony of how how people's finances have changed because of being obedient in their in their giving. So as you prepare your giving today, let's hold our money, giving up. Oh, Father, we thank you, Father, we praise you, Lord. We thank you, Lord, for this giving, Lord, Lord, and may it produce, Lord, Lord, your word says 30, 60, 100fold, Lord. Lord, but we say, Lord, the the the produce to its fullest potential. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. You know, God really does love you and he cares about your your wants, he cares about your your desires, he cares about your your needs. And he wants, you know, the Lord wants to give you stuff. You know, we sometimes we get in the in our heads or some stuff people say, well, well, if you do this, then then God's gonna be mad at you, and and you know, God's mad at you, and we we we twist around what scriptures say to try to get people to I guess it'd be manipulation, right? To to manipulate people to do what you want to do. But the truth is, truth is that that God loves you and God wants you healed and wants you set free and wants you made whole. And also the truth is God God don't like sin. So I'm not saying you can just go out and do do whatever you want to by any means, but I'm saying that that God loves you, and if you're caught up in something, then God provides you a way out of it because there's no condemnation in in Christ Jesus. Um, you know, I was thinking about uh studying and then listening to stuff about, you know, sometimes you know we get in our head uh that that like I said, God is out to get us, but but you know, when Adam and Eve was in the garden and and and Eve partook of the apple and then gave to Adam, and instead of Adam being a man and saying, Woman, put that down, he didn't. But but when when that all all happened, you know, God didn't, he he protected them by by not letting them eat from the tree of life and living them forever in their sin. But but he loved them so much that he he shed animal skin and he shed blood for them and he and he covered them up and and and and he still took care of them. So so to know, you know, a lot of times, I don't know, it seems like to me a lot of times, I always look at things from the from the negative aspect. Does anyone anyone do that? Or is everyone are you guys always positive? You know, a lot of times we can tell by Facebook post if you're positive or not. That's why I don't have Facebook. But but you know, like from the negative aspect, and and and if you look at God from a negative aspect, you're gonna have a negative God. That's good. If you look at God from a negative aspect, you're gonna have a negative God. But I'm telling you, we're looking at a God that that loves you, that wants you healed, wants to set you free, wants to make you whole, a God that that that is cut, a God that that that in Luke chapter 4, verse 18, uh after Jesus was baptized in the Holy Spirit and then and then come up, and then he was tempted in the wilderness for 40 days, and then without fault, and then he goes into the temple, and then he says, He says, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He's anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He sent me to heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, and recover the sight of the blind, and and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. So, so you know that that's what he came to do. He he come to come so the blind will see. And we've seen legally blind eyes open, but to see spiritual spiritually blind eyes open is is is even more amazing, you know, to see someone's eye, oh God really does love me. He really is not out to get me, he's really not out to punish me. He's really not, he's really not causing all this stuff in my life. No, no, he's not causing stuff in your life, he's not causing negative stuff in your life. It's our own choices that do that. So today I want to look at uh um a prayer, and then does anyone ever feel like you don't get your prayers answered? Like you're praying, and I've been praying, been praying for years, and and and you don't ever sometimes don't get your prayers answered? I didn't tell this one, uh Cameron, but Luke chapter, I think it's Luke chapter four. Not Luke chapter four, James chapter four. Just start in verse one. What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don't they come from the evil desires at war within you? You can't you want what you don't have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You're jealous of what others have, but you can't get others have, but you can't get it. So you fight and wage war and take it away from them. Yet you don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it. I thought, wow, that's pretty good. That's like someone ought to write that down somewhere, right? Amen. Isn't it awesome that it's right there in the Word of God? It's like because you don't you don't ask God for it. So so what so let's go one more. And even when you ask, you don't get it because your motives are all wrong. You want only what will give you pleasure. In the New King James Version, verse 3 says, You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss that you may spend it on your pleasures. So I'm thinking, we get to a point where we don't ask amiss, you know. I want to get to a point to when when a hundred percent of my prayers are answered, you know, very quickly. Right? And I truly believe it that we can pray and they can be answered very quickly, but I believe there is a, or there is, there is a way to pray that that lines up biblically. Right? Alright, so let's go to Mark 11, 22 through 24. Anyone ever heard of that verse before? Anyone ever heard of that? How's it start out? Have faith in God. Have faith in God. For surely I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be thou removed and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. So, so back it up there, uh, Cameron to 23. So it starts out, it starts out Jesus is is before this. Jesus is out there and and there's that tree that's not producing fruit, and then then he curses the tree, right? And then uh the day later, the next morning later, they're going by there and they're like, hey Jesus, man, that tree you cursed is dead. And Jesus is like, you know what, have faith in God. For surely I say to you, whoever says to this mountain. So has anyone ever spoke to a mountain? You know, you know, when we understand that that the mountain is the problem areas in your life, so whoever say, I say to you, whoever says, so so how do you how do you talk to the mountain? It don't say whoever thinks to the mountain, or whoever complains to the mountain, or whoever does this to the mountain, it says, whoever says to this mountain, be thou removed and cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes those things he says will be done, you can leave it there, he will have whatever he says. So if you notice in this verse, three times it talks about saying, For surely I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be thou removed, cast into sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes those things that he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. It says belief one time, and it says saying three times. So, so Kenneth Hagin, you know, he'd ask, and he's like, So, Lord, why why does it say, you know, belief one time, but then saying three times, and said, People have more trouble with their saying than they do their believing. And I can tell you, the words that come out of your mouth, I could sit with you for just a few minutes and I could tell you basically how your life is by what comes out of your mouth, by by your by your uh words you speak, whether they're positive, whether they're negative, whether they're life, whether they're death, whether they're hate, whether they're anger. You know that, but but when you begin to understand that that your words are very powerful, and I'm telling you the word of God is the most powerful thing, so we want our words of our our mouth, our words of our lips to line up with the word of God. Amen. So, so we're basically just going to be on uh on verse 24 today. In the New Living Translation in 24, it says, uh, I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive and you will have them. Um Living Translation, I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. So, you know, you can ask for anything, you can pray for anything, and then the New King James Version, uh, I really like this. And in here it says, Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, you will have them. Oh, the King James Version. Is it on if it's not on there, I'll do it. There you go. Good job. Therefore I say to you, whatsoever things ye desire. Whatever things ye desire when you pray, believe that ye receive them and you will have them. You're telling me that God wants to meet my desires? You're telling me that? So if we desire what's lined up with the word of God, right? So what about uh Psalms 37 through 4? Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. John 15, 7. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. So to delight in God, you have to delight in his word. Okay, so to delight in God, you have to delight in his word. Has anyone seen God in a physical form? See, see, God's a spirit, and we worship him in spirit and truth, but not here in physical form. So but he stands on his word. Has anyone ever has anyone ever told anybody a secret? Have you ever told anybody a secret? In confidence. Then they went and told somebody else. Even if it's your sister. So have you done that? And then they didn't really keep the secret. So what what'd you do next time you had a secret? You didn't go back and tell them again. What about so you didn't tell 'em. So what did that tell you about the person when they didn't keep the secret? They wasn't what? Trustworthy? Broken trust. Amen. Broken trust, not trustworthy, wouldn't keep the word. You know? Um some of you have uh businesses and and employees and stuff, and and you know you're I used to haul litter a lot and and I'm very punctual. Like if I say we're gonna leave at six, we're gonna leave at six, right? Kenny was there. So and it wasn't Kenny I'm talking about. So so I'm like, but I didn't expect you to be there at 5.59, but I expect you to be there at 6. So, so there was one guy, we won't mention no name, but Kenny will be laughing in a minute, but but he he was never on time, you know. So you get to the point, like, we're gonna leave at six. Hey, what time we leave? We're we're gonna leave, you know, I'll help you out as far as we're gonna leave at 545. You know, I'm thinking. If we say 545, then they'll be there at six, and then then this will all be good, and we'll do that, but then they would just be late, late, late, late, late. So it's uh not pointing no fingers, but but but so so what do you what do you learn from that when when when you say, okay, be here at such and such time, then they're not here. They're not they're not trustworthy. You can't trust their word, right? So, so I'm telling you, in in your life, the only thing that you have is your word. The strongest thing you have is your word. Hey, I'll be there tomorrow. Yep, that's my word. So, so really, so what's the strongest thing the Lord has is his word. Amen. All right. So God watches over his word to perform it. And God always stands on his word. Well, you know, what if I might desire the wrong thing? You know, give you the desires of your heart. Ask what you will. Well, what if I might, you know, desire the wrong thing? You know, we're gonna go up to the Salvation Army in June 7th, I think it is, and there are gonna be some spaghetti. We're having a big spaghetti dinner, and we could go up there. All right, hey guys, welcome here today. I'm glad you're here. You know, we got some spaghetti. You know, somehow um when they was making this, some rat poison got into the spaghetti. And and I I'm not sure um which which ones have rat poison in it, but but I'm sure but some of them do have rat poison in it. So, so I mean what would you do then? Pray over it. There you go. There you go. Well, there's a way to put the God to the foolish test, but but if someone, you know, I believe you I believe you can take poison in and still live, but not knowingly. You know, that that's like putting the Lord to a foolish test. If someone tried to come and poison me and and then afterwards say, you know what? I just poisoned you. I said, Well, you're a lion's spirit, I will live and not die and declare the wonderful works of the Lord, but not to put the God to a foolish test. So, so what would you do if if you're up there and you're eating and you knew that some of it had rat poison in it? You would stop eating if you were eating. If you hadn't even began, you wouldn't even eat, right? You wouldn't even eat. No, you wouldn't even consider it. You'd be like, man, I'm starving, but all of a sudden you're full and like, nope, nope, I don't need I don't need nothing to eat, right? So, so asking on the desires of your heart, you're smart enough to know. You're smart enough to know when you ask God for your desires. Well, what if I ask for the wrong thing? Well, are you gonna ask God for the wrong thing? You're not gonna ask God for the wrong thing. And you're smart enough to desire the right thing in your life. Right? Amen. All right. You can put Mark 11, 24 up there. You could just leave it up there in the New King James Version. Therefore, I say to you, whatever thing you desire when you pray. Okay? So what's the key here is when you pray. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, you will hear them. So the key is is when you pray. It's not before you pray or after you pray. It's not um understanding something or feeling something. So it's so the desire, the asking is when you pray. So so when would when you pray be? When? When you pray. When would it be? Right then. Be now, right? Be right, it'd be now. It wouldn't be yesterday, it wouldn't be tomorrow. It says, therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask, when you pray. So praying is asked, when you pray, it is now. Okay. So now faith is. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. So now faith is, so when you pray, now faith is. So when you pray, your desires, your ask, your wants are made known. And asking has to do with praying. It's the two are together. You see that? I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray. So asking and praying are together. So this verse is showing us how faith works. So see, it's one thing to have faith, but it's another to operate in it. See, someone can say, well, well, I have faith. I believe. Yeah, but are you acting on it? See, faith is an action. So it's one thing to have faith, but it's another thing to operate in it. It's another thing to act on it. Because faith without works is dead. And works is corresponding action to the word. Works is not you teaching Bible school, you teaching Sunday school, you doing this and that. The works that he has for us is acting on his word. And when you act on his word, you might very well be Sunday school teacher, band leader, whatever. But faith is acting on the word, not works that you're doing. Alright. So if you don't know how to use your faith, you can't operate in it. Alright, it says, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Receive what? What you asked for. Receive them. Things what you asked for when you prayed. So what when did you receive and when do you receive them? Believe that you receive them. We've got to check this out. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them. So when do you have to believe that you receive them? When you pray, and when do you have to believe when do you believe you'll when do you believe you received them? It don't say, and believe that you will receive them, believe that you're gonna receive them, believe that someday in the far blue yonder on the by and by you're gonna receive it. It says, when you say, believe now, when you say, when you pray, believe that you receive them now, and you will have them. Stretching your thinking? Well, how can I do that when I don't see it? How can I do that? How can I believe when I can't see it? Does anybody have a cell phone in here? Does anyone remember when there wasn't such a thing as a cell phone? Was yours, was you back all the way to the crank mispath? Or was she more like Morris code? Tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap. Pony Express Morris code. My earliest recollections there was a phone on the wall and it had a dial, and you that that was mine and and it had a cord on there. But now we we we've got a phone, and so say you've gone into the to the phone office and you've and you've got a got a phone. All right. So I'm here to purchase a phone, all right? So this phone will, I can call people on this phone, yeah. Well, how does that work? Well, I need you to show me how that'll work. Do you go in and do you question them? Well, I don't I don't think I believe you. I don't think I believe you. I need you to show me, you know, how this phone works. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Show me proof of how this works. So you go there and you don't go there and do that. You go there and you believe that someone can give you the phone and the phone's gonna work, right? And that phone, it goes off of radio waves. Pretty high technical for me, but but radio waves. And there's all kinds of frequencies and waves all over all over in this room right now. There's do you believe there's frequencies and stuff in here right now? Every one of us could get on our phone right now and send a text or could call. So there's frequencies, and the way I understand it is them frequencies can be unlimited. It can be the unlimited number of frequencies because of the way they can divide it. Josh might know some on that because he did fiber. And the way I understand, like, you can take a little bitty piece of fiber and and it's unreal how much you can you can split that fiber off. So you say, well, well, you know, I don't I don't believe that you don't do that. How about is anyone here, has anyone here got a job? A job. Has anyone ever had one? Let's say you go anyone, let's go back to when you had your first job, or there you go. That a boy. Who do you work for?

SPEAKER_02

My datto.

SPEAKER_01

Your datto. Well, good deal. Well, come on up here. Come on up. I'm I'm glad you're here. All right. So here's here's Liam and he works for for Datto. And what do you get when you work for Datto?

SPEAKER_02

Um, what do you mean?

SPEAKER_01

What what what what does he give you? Like if you pull thistles and what's he give you?

SPEAKER_02

I feed dogs.

SPEAKER_01

You feed dogs? Do you get anything for feeding the dogs?

SPEAKER_02

He paid me.

SPEAKER_01

He paid there we go. That we're looking at the paying. So, so when you first went to work for Datto, did he say, now Lim, you know, I'll I'll pay you to to feed these dogs, right? And you say, well, Datto, I'm gonna need some proof that you're gonna pay me. Right? Right? Do we do that? Have you ever gone in for a job and you sit down there and and man, you're you're you're excited to get the job, and and you're like, you know, it comes here and you know it's it's Monday and you've worked and it's Tuesday and then it's Friday, and you're like, you know, well, man, you're excited for Friday. Friday's payday, right? So so when you sit down there for the job, do you ever be like, you know, you know, I need some proof that you're gonna be able to pay me on Friday. I need a sign from heaven that that you're gonna be able to pay me on Friday when when you do that. But no, no, no, you you you believe it, right? You go to work somewhere and then you believe that you're gonna get a paycheck on Friday. Now, if Datto stiffs you, then you let me know, alright? I think he blesses you double. You got a good datto, don't you? There you go. 20 bucks a week? Well, if if if you ever want to give that job up, I'll be interested. There you go. How many dogs are you feeding for 20 a week? So, so so you get the you're excited about it, you know. So, so um, so we believe that we receive, and we have to believe that by faith. You have to believe your phone's gonna work by faith. You know, next time you go into the uh ATT store or wherever you get your phone, and and you'll be like, Well, I need a sign, this phone's gonna work. He's gonna be like, What? What are you talking about? That's kind of like the word of God. The word of God's been working longer than anything in the world. And then we sit here and we want a sign that God's word will work. Right? We want a sign, yeah. Here's your sign. The rocks will cry out if they quit worshiping me, and the trees will cry out. All right. Um believe that you receive them and you will have them. So have them is future tense, right? So when you pray, present tense, future tense, you will have them. So based on the present, the future will come into manifestation. So will have means. Check this out. Believe that you receive them and you will have them. So if you will have something, what's that mean? You will have it, but if you will have it, what's that mean about what you want now? It means you don't have it. If you will, if if you already had it, it wouldn't say you will have it. So we have to believe that we're gonna have it. Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you received them and you will have them. So you're asking for something that's not manifest yet, but you will have later, but you have to believe that you've received it before you get it. I don't know if I could say that again, but it sounded good. Right? Can you repeat that for me, Maddie? So, so I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray. So, so who believes that I'm Dan Goose Tree and I'm the pastor of this church? Let's get your hands up. Who believes it? Who believes it? Who believes it? Who believes it? You guys don't have your hand up? Who believes it? Who believes it? Who believes it? You of all people. How long have you known me? 49 years. Probably 52 because he's known me longer than I've known him. Don't you know that I'm Dan Goostery? Yeah. You don't have to believe that I'm Dan Goostery. You know that I'm Dan Goostery. Is that where you ladies were going? See, you don't have to believe for something you already know. That's good. Write that down. If you're not sick, you don't have to believe for healing. Right? You don't have to believe. So you have to get this down. If I already know it, I don't have to believe it. That'll preach. That'll preach. If you already know it, you don't have to believe it. All right. We're getting there. Verse 24. Praise the Lord, we're already there. Camera's like, I can't find it. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask, when you pray, believe that you receive them, you will have them. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. Alright. What did Jesus say you're gonna have? What did he say? Things that you pray for and believe. What did he say you're gonna have? Receive. Anything else? The Holy Spirit within you. Yeah, you're getting off the topic, but you're doing great. That is something we can have. In this verse right here, what's he saying? You know, when you look at this, therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. He don't say you'll have what you ask for. Read it a time or two. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, you'll have them. He don't say, You're gonna have what you pray for. Therefore, I say to you, you can have what you pray for. Therefore, I say to you, you can have what you ask for. He said, and you guys kind of all together got it. He said, Jesus said, You can have what you believe that you have received. You see it? And we've been praying and praying and praying, Lord, please do this, Lord, please do that. Lord, I'm asking you to do this, Lord, I'm asking you to do that, Lord, I'm praying for this, Lord, I'm praying for that. And he says, You can have what you believe that you have received. Not what you're going to receive. So let's say you have, let's say you have sickness in your body. And you sit here and you say, you say, Well, I believe God's going to heal me. Okay? Sounds like a legitimate statement. I believe God's going to heal me. But actually it says, believe you have received it. I believe that I've been healed in the name of Jesus. That don't make sense. It's not sense, it's faith. See, we walk by faith and not by sight. See, I believe I have been healed. Josh has got some some high blood pressure. It's going down, it's been going down the last few days. But, you know, if Josh was like, like uh, if Josh didn't have high blood pressure, he wouldn't need to believe that his blood pressure was healed. Okay? Just like if it's, you know, who let's ask this again. Who in here believes that I'm Dan Goose Tree? There you go, too. I think we'll have to keep doing this. We'll we'll give her a little bit of the doubt because this is her first time here, so so she may not have proof. But Miss Pat, you know I'm Dan Goosebree. You you don't have to believe it. You don't have to believe it. You know it. You don't, you don't have to believe it. You know it. Alright, so so when you're asking for something, you have to believe that you have received it. So we gotta. So you have to believe you have received it because you don't have it. Clear as mud? Yeah, there you go. Clear as mud, huh? So Finn gave her life to the Lord. Do you believe you were saved when you give your life to the Lord? Yeah. Well, show me a sign. See, the sign's in her heart. You confess with your mouth of that. You can't show me. So you can, I believe I'm saved. You're saved. You confessed it. You you believe it. It's something that you do. But something you already have, you don't have to believe in. Boy, I wish I had a two-year and three-month-old grandson. Boy, I believe I got a two-year and three-month-old grandson. No, I got a grandson that's two years and three months old. I don't have to believe it. I have it. And if I wanted to, I could drive right up here to Jopla and see him this afternoon. Right? Is this helping anybody? This will change your life. This will change your faith. This will change your prayers. Alright. So we've got to quit throwing out prayers and begging God and just hoping that sometimes God will get to it when he's not busy. Anyone ever said that? Well, I don't want to bother the Lord. We're guilty of that, aren't we? You know, this is not that big a deal. It's just an arm, you know. It's just I'm joking, Miss Pat, but it's okay. It's just a kidney. I got another one. I don't really want to bother the Lord. There, there's a lot of people worse off than I am. And then we get this mentality, but I'm telling you, God cares about your every need and desire. God cares about every and He's more powerful enough to take care of everyone in the whole world on everything they have, too. So really it's a pride issue when we sit there and say that, you know, I don't want to bother the Lord. No, the Lord wants you. Would you go to your father? Would you go to your father, your earthly father, your earthly mother? If you had a problem, would you go to them? If you had a problem, well, I don't really want to bother mom. But your mom's there to love on you. Your father's there to love on you. And maybe some of you hadn't had the best, best lives growing up and stuff. But I'm telling you, there is a God in heaven, and I'm telling you, there's a father that loves you, and he cares about your need and desires, and he wants you to have every one of them. But we have to get in our head, we believe we have received. So we have to get in our head to believe something that we have, something that we don't have, we have to believe that we've already received it. Testimony after testimony after testimony of people standing on these these three verses and coming up off of death beds of sickness. Papa Don was one of them from from, I mean he's been here before, you know. Kenneth Hagin. I mean, I mean several of them. When you get the the revelation that believe that you have received, and you will have. This is really gonna get you. Alright. We have to preach the same message over and over. So let's say we're praying for finances. Praying for finances, we need a electric bill uh met by the end of the month.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Now Lord, I'm I'm believing, Lord, that you're gonna provide for my um electric bill. I believe, Lord, that you're gonna give me the money for that. And uh I re I receive it. You're asking him for it, you're praying for it, and you're believing that he received it. Okay, this is this is Monday. Actually, this is Sunday, but but so this is Sunday and you prayed that prayer. So what about tomorrow? So do so so tomorrow, Lord, Lord, I'm asking you, Lord, to I need some money for my electric bill, Lord, and I'm believing you've done it. So so if you're praying for something and you believe that you've received it, stay with me here because if you're praying for something and you believe that you received it, then you really can't pray for that same thing again. Okay? Don't walk out now because you'll be like, whoa. So so if you're praying for something and you believe that you've received it, Lord, I believe I've received healing for my relationships, Lord, I believe I've received healing for my finances, Lord, I've received, I believe, healing for my blood pressure, Lord, Lord, I receive, I believe it, Lord, and I receive it, Lord. I'm calling my body whole. So to pray and ask for the same thing again would be doubt. It's quiet in here. Do do processing because in our mind, we in our mind we serve this God, and if we beg this God enough, then he'll give us what we want, but only only if we if we beg him enough, and only if we plead him enough, when really the God, the great I am, operates off of his word and watching over his word to perform it. See, that's called a petition prayer. It's called a petition prayer. So you're petitioning God for something, you're petitioning him for healing, you're petitioning him for whatever you're petitioning for, it's a petitioning prayer. Right? There's several petitioning prayers in the Bible. So a prayer petition is a humble and direct request made to God for a specific need, favor, or deliverance. For example, Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, he prayed, uh petitioned for the cup to be taken away from him while ultimately submitting to the Father's will. Daniel petitioned for God for mercy for the restoration of Jerusalem. Remember, Hannah was barren, she prayed for the child. And the Apostle Paul frequently made petitions in his letters to encourage believers to present their request to God with thanksgiving. So, what do we do then? What do we do then? Amen. We thank him for it. We thank him for it. I thank you, Lord, that my blood pressure is made whole. I thank you, Lord, that the situations are going on. I thank you, Lord, that that on Sunday morning I ask you to take care of my blood pressure, Lord, and I believe it's done. I receive it. And then Monday you're like, thank you, Lord. I thank you, Lord, that that I ask you to take away my high blood pressure, Lord. I thank you, Lord, that you're a good God. I thank you, Lord, that you're a healing God, Lord, and I receive it. I praise you. I thank you. And then you keep on, you keep on speaking it over your life. You keep thanking him. It's being thankful for what he's done. You keep being thankful to him. And then one day you'll wake up and you'll be like, man, I feel I feel great today. I feel great today. And you look and you and your blood pressure's, is it 120 over 80? Is that normal? Your blood pressure's 120 over 80. And you're like, thank you, Lord God, I've received my healing. You don't have to believe for it anymore because you've already received it. When your healing comes, you you don't have to believe for it anymore. Make sense? Yeah. That's good stuff. Prayer, thanksgiving, a heartfelt expression of gratitude, praise, and worship directed to God for his character. So Philippians, it says, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. In 1 Thessalonians, it says, Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. In Colossians, and whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. The Psalms 23. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. In Matthew. But seek ye first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Alright, Matthew 7. 7 through 11. Yeah, but what about ask and keep on asking? I'm glad you asked. Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be open to you. So ask and keep on asking. Keep asking him for the desires of your heart. It's not keeping on asking him to heal you of the keep using blood pressure, but it's not asking every day to Lord please heal me from blood pressure. He's saying, He's saying, keep keep asking him for your desire. He wants to meet your desires in your life. Every single one of them. For everyone who asks, receives. And he who seeks finds. And to him who knocks, it will be open. Anyone who asks might receive. No, it says, anyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. And anyone who knocks, if the Lord's feeling well that day, he'll open it up. No, no, it says, and anyone to him who knocks, it will be open. And then it says, What man is there among you? You know, I think about pop-pop or whatever they call him. Think about it. What man among you, if he asks his son for bread, will give him a stone. You know, and I'm thinking about, there's no way you would give Liam anything that would harm him. You know, if he asks you for something, there's no way that us would give something to someone that would harm him. I I wouldn't put poison in the spaghetti. Right? Or what man is, or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, so if you if you being being evil, like you wouldn't do that to no one, if you being evil would give good gifts, he says, How much more will your father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him? Amen. Thank you, Lord. He cares about every minute detail of your life. You know the things that think, well, you know, it's it's not that big a deal. It's just a little toe fungus. He's into healing toe fungus. Is that about it? We'll get the nurse up here. She'll give me some better examples. He's into healing your broken heart. He's in to everything. And you have to be specific on asking him. I was talking about this in the men's breakfast yesterday a little bit. And it's important on how we we pray to God. You know, if maybe you're like, now Lord, should I buy the yellow house or should I buy the green house? And the Lord's like, we'll buy the yellow house. Sounds like a good good question. But shouldn't we ask the Lord, Lord, which house do you want me to have? See, see, see, we limit God so many times on our prayers, and he's like, Well, you only give me the two choices. See, see, when Peter was out there, when Jesus was walking across the water, and they're like, It's a ghost, and Peter's like, No, it's the Lord, and Jesus is like, or Peter's like, Lord, if it's you, bid me to walk to you on the water. You know, the Lord couldn't say, Well, no, it's not me, Peter, stay in the boat. Right? So, so it it was presented to him in a way that the Lord had had to answer. So, so think about your prayers as you're presenting them to the Lord, you know, not a not a A B, uh more like, Lord, Lord, what would you have? Does it make sense? One the example that I'd heard was, Lord, Lord, where do you want me to go to college? You want me to go to college in Arizona or you want me to go to college in in Florida? Well, I want you to go to Florida. Okay. So he goes to Florida, then they're in Florida, and a few two or three weeks later, uh, after they're there, the Lord's like, now I want you to go to college in Michigan. And he's like, Why would you send me here? You know you told me here and here, and then send me to Michigan. He's like, Well, I never told you to go, either one of them, but but you asked me which one. See, we're we're we're asking amiss in our prayers, but but look, but let's get our prayers to where we don't ask admiss. Lord, Lord, what do you have for me right here, right now? Lord, what's the next step that I need to take for you, Lord, right here, right now? Lord, Lord, I uh whatever things you ask, Lord, Lord, whatever things I ask when I pray, I believe that I receive them and I will have them. What is it that you're asking God for? What is it that you're desiring God for? As these altars are opened, I encourage you to come up here and make your desires made known to God. I encourage you to quit begging God to do something. We got a book and it tells us the will of God. We got the word of God and it shows us who He is. And most of the stuff we pray for, we don't have to pray for because we already know. We already know it's God's will for you to be healed. We already know it's God's will for you to be born again. We already know it's God's will for you to be be delivered and made whole. So there's things that we know. Oh, Lord, if it's your will, Lord, just take this demonic activity from it's his will to have that demonic activity taken from you. It's his will for you to quit cutting yourself if you're cutting yourself. Lord does not want you to harm yourself. Thank you, Lord. And then thank him for what he's done. Praise the Lord, he's he's a God that shows up on time. Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry, I was sleeping in today. But I'm telling you, it's all stand. If you need specific prayer, anything, if you need specific prayer, we'll come into agreement on that. But I'm telling you, you serve a God that is love and that loves you and wants you free. And not only does he want you free, he wants you to stay free. He wants you to live in a life of freedom. See, he's a transforming God. So, whatever it may be, these altars are open. If you want us to come into agreement, man, I had to go back through my prayer life and be like, my gosh, Lord, I've been asking you to do these things for years and to do that. And then you get your mind. Well, have I asked him for that or not asking for that? And then be like, okay, Lord, Lord, if I've done, Lord, but but today I stop that. And today, Lord, I stand on your word. Stand on your word, Lord. When I ask you for it and pray, I believe that I have received it and I will have it. Start with something. Start with something. Maybe it's a pair of yellow socks. You mean we start with, you know, with a, I'm believing for a $10 million mansion. Start with a pair of socks. Start with a pair of socks. And believing for socks. Sounds crazy, but but believe for him. Believe on it. Stand on it. And when some socks showed up at your door and they're red socks and not yellow socks, don't say, well, the Lord must have thought I wanted, must have thought I needed red socks instead of yellow. No, no, you asked for yellow socks. His desire is for you, and you keep standing on. Well, thank you, Lord. I got a pair of red socks too, Lord. Lord, I didn't even ask for them. I didn't even ask for the red socks, but thank you, Lord. That's how much you love me. Lord, I still believe, Lord, them yellow socks are coming. Lord, I believe that that my desires are being made known. Lord, I believe that my relationship's being healed. Lord, I believe it. And I'm standing on it. I have faith in it. Lord, I believe that my body aches are being healed. Lord, I believe that my my family's being healed, Lord. Lord, I believe that your your glory's being shown, Lord. And instead, oh thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. I remember May 17th, and I was there, Lord, and I started asking you, believing, believing your word, Lord. Asked when I prayed and believing that I received. I remember, and remember, it was May 17th, and I was standing there, Lord. The Lord, and now I'm thanking you. Well, how long do I thank him? You thank him until you get what you prayed for. You keep thanking, you keep believing. There'll be some things that take longer than others, but but start somewhere on believing. Lord, I'm believing someone will hand me a quarter at the gas pumps. Whatever it is, just just believe something. Believe something. It's gonna increase your faith. See in Hebrews 11:6, 11.3, one of them, it says, without faith, it's impossible to please him. So Father, we we trust in you, Lord. Lord, we trust in you. Lord, I believe my needs are met in you. If we can't get to a point in our lives, in your life, that you can't you can't receive something if you don't see it physically. You have to see it spiritually. Well, I won't believe it till I see it. Jesus tells Thomas, or blessed are those that believe and haven't seen. So I'm telling you, today your prayer life changes. Today, your life changes. God wants you to pass your test when you take a test. I thought, man, I wish I would have known some of this stuff when I was growing up. Because I'd be like, well, I just get so nervous when I take tests. I just do this when I take tests. Praise the Lord. God the Father, He loves you, and He wants you to pass your test. He wants you to be a witness for Him. He wants you to shine for Him. He wants you to stand on His word. And He's just sitting there with His arms wide open. I love the story of the prodigal son, and you know, the prodigal son realized that he was in such a mess. And he says, you know, if I go home, even the servants at my father's house have more than they had. And said when he was when he was coming, the father seen him coming from down the road. And it didn't say, well, it's about time you come to your senses, you dumb elephant. Elephant. Elephant. He didn't say that. He says, Oh my son, there's my son. And he's coming home. And boy, boy, put a ring on his finger and put a coat on him and put some shoes on his feet and kill the fatty calf. I knew you'd come to your senses one day. That's not who God is. God's not a condemning God. So if you have condemning thoughts in your head, if you have condemning things going on in your life, it's almost a little bit exciting because you know they're from the Satan. So if you have condemning stuff in your life and then you begin to realize, oh, that thought's from Satan. I'm about to get stinking free because this thought's in my head that's not a God. So thought you leave right now in the name of Jesus, my mind's only going to thank pure thoughts. We'll get Andrew to share one time, but up at the tent revival in Monet, he was sharing on taking thoughts captive over suicide and stuff. I'm telling you, that's the God we serve. That's the powerful, loving God we serve. Thank you, Lord God. That you are love and you do love us, Lord. Thank you, Lord, as we submit to you. We submit to you, Lord. Spirit, soul, body. Lord, and when we submit to you, Lord, we resist the devil. And your word says he must flee. And Lord, we draw near to you. Lord, your word says if we'll draw near to you, you'll draw near to us. And thank you, Lord. But your word says we can take thoughts that exalt themselves against your word. So if you got thoughts in your life that you're not worthy, you're not enough, you're in lack, you'll never amount to anything. You're worthless. Every one of them thoughts are not a God because just like I'd mentioned earlier in the service, but just like I mentioned then, you're a new creation in Christ. Whether you've been born again for 50 years, whether you've been born again for an hour and a half, you're a new creation in Christ. And He is the name above all names. Jesus is the name above all names. So if there's anything going on in your life that has a name, I'm not saying anyone has a name. I'm saying anything has a name. Depression, hate, anger, AD, D, whatever it may be, Jesus is the name above all names. He's the name above all them names. So all that stuff must flee at the name of Jesus. I'm telling you, you keep standing on the Word of God. You may be taking medication, and I have nothing against medication, but I'm telling you, when you take your medication, you sit there, you sit there, Lord, I'm praying, Lord, and I believe I'm received, I'm being healed from this situation that's going on in my life that I have to take this medication for. And I'm telling you, it will start freeing you from that. Now your faith is not quitting taking the medication. That's called foolishness. Your faith is, Lord, I believe that I'm healed. And say, we'll say it's blood pressure. We'll say it's blood pressure and you're healed. That medication will start messing you up when you start getting healed. You'll have to stop taking. Doctor Something tells you to quit taking something, that's a different story. But for you to place your faith on quitting taking something, that's foolishness. That's putting your faith in quitting taking medicine and not trusting in God. That'd be like you taking your glasses. Well, I believe my I believe my eyes are healed, and you and you throw your glasses down, and you I'm gonna throw my glasses down. I'm gonna stop my glasses. And then you're like, I can't see a thing. I can't see a thing. Well, well, you put your faith in your glasses, not in the healing of God. Josh has a fabulous testimony of that. How how his eyes were healed and he left service one night in Kentucky and and and he couldn't read the signs, and he thought, man, something's wrong with my eyes. And and he takes these glasses off and he can see just fine. So faith has got a bad rap, some, because of the stuff that, well, if you really had faith, you wouldn't take medicine. No, that taking medicine has nothing to do with faith. What a great day. Father, we praise you. Father, we thank you, Lord. Some still praying. I'm sorry. Father, we thank you, Lord, for your word. We thank you, Lord, that no weapon formed against us will prosper. No weapon. Don't say the weapon won't be formed. Just say the weapon won't prosper. So we thank you, Lord, for eyes to see when the weapon is being formed. Oh, you're trying to form against me. I see that. But that weapon's not going to form against me. I'm a new creation in Christ. That's not who I used to be. That old person died and become new. So, Father, I thank you. I thank you, Lord, for that. I thank you, Lord, that we can stand on your promises. And Lord, the only way we can stand on your promises is if we know them. I'm standing on the promises. Well, name one of them then. Maybe you're struggling with fear. An ungodly fear. There's a fear of reverence of God, then there's an ungodly fear. Thank you, Lord. I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Lord, I believe I have a sound mind. I believe I have a mind like Christ. Pray that over my mama every every day. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. My mom's healed. Thank you, Lord. I I ask you, Lord, for that as we as we pray together. Lord, I believe it. Lord, do I receive it? Have a fabulous week. I encourage you to come back Wednesday for the women's Bible study, the youth rally. Uh it's gonna be fabulous. It's gonna be a great day in the Lord. So be blessed. In Jesus' name.
