Are we supposed to pray the way the disciples prayed? Is what Jesus promised His disciples about the Holy Spirit for us to operate in and still use today? How much you learn over just a short period of time. You need to let the Holy Spirit guide you and teach you. And when he does, it's like, oh my goodness. Because he loves you. No, Jesus said, it's good that I must go. I'll send another the Holy Spirit and He will teach you. Amen. And he is the teacher. So anyway, I'm adding a little bit of everything in there on that. So in July the 10th through the 12th, Pastor Chris and Sue McDonald will be here. Be a fabulous Friday night and Saturday night, and they'll be here with us Sunday morning. I'm telling you, uh Pastor Chris is the hand of God is definitely on him, seeing many people healed, set free, delivered, seeing many born again. They're traveling uh throughout the world. I think they just got back from the Philippines and uh been out in um Wyoming or Colorado. Wyoming. Been out west um doing many great things. So that's gonna be an awesome weekend. And then uh before we know it, Prophet Harkey's gonna be here uh also coming up later on this year, and uh and and the women's conference will be on us before we know it in September. So so be be in for that. So so as we get ready to prepare our giving, uh, you know what I used to always I used to always have the attitude, you know, well, all the church wants my money, you know, and but but I'll give it because it's the right thing to do, because because that's what we're supposed to do. But but but the truth is I don't want your money. The truth is I want you to be blessed. See, the truth is when you're giving your money, you're sowing into the kingdom of God. It's like, well, we've got to give, if we don't give no money, then then this won't happen and that won't happen. No, no, no, the Lord is a provider of our needs. The Lord is provider of my needs, he will provide what all I need. But but when we give, you know, when we have a posture of giving, just like when you give uh love or joy or peace, when you share with people, when you get into a posture of giving your tithes and offerings, when you get into a posture of that, then then you're allowing the Lord to bless you. Because he blesses his people. Because when you sow, when you sow seed, you reap seed, right? So when we're sowing, when we're sowing in our tithes and offerings, we um uh just you know, you don't sow to receive, but but because you do sow, you do receive. You know, have you ever gone out and planted a garden and like, well, I planted that corn, but I just don't expect nothing out of it. Well, I planted them tomatoes, but but I hope I don't get a tomato. You know, you know, you know we we don't do that. You know, we don't plant the garden and weed it for for weeks and water it and and and all that and then not expect to harvest. So so we expect to harvest when we sow into the kingdom of God. When you pray, do you expect an answer to your prayer? Absolutely, right? It's not like well, well, I'm gonna pray, but I don't expect no answer to my prayer. You know, that that that's ridiculous. So so when we're giving, we're we're giving that the Lord's gonna provide all of our needs because all of our needs are met in Christ Jesus. So so I encourage you to, you know, a tithe, a tithe means 10%, but maybe maybe you've never trusted in the Lord at all with with your tithe and and and uh from from the money that he provides for you, but but start somewhere. Start somewhere with trusting the Lord. Maybe, maybe so there's no way I can trust him with 10% of my money, but only in the kingdom of God does 90% of your money go further than 100. But but trust him with 1%. Trust him with 1%. Maybe you make a uh $1,000 in a week, give him 10 bucks. You know, but but be intentional. I'm telling you, just be intentional. Be intentional on your your tithes and offerings, and then be intentional on or be intentional on your tithes, and then be intentional on your offerings too when you're out there. You know, the offerings are above uh what's provided for your storehouse. So be intentional uh about that when you're out there knowing, you know, you know, this person's in need, you know, and he tells you, hey, won't you help that people? Won't you buy that person a meal? Or or maybe you're standing in line and at the store and he's like, well, buy that little kid a lollipop, or or maybe someone needs help on rent. You know, you know, I don't know, but but I'm telling there's many ways for the Lord to bless us. So let's hold up our giving. Oh, Father, we praise you and thank you, Lord. We thank you, Lord, that we we get to give. Lord, Lord, we don't have to, but we get to give. Lord, we thank you, Lord. All of our needs are are met in you, Lord. And we thank you, Lord, for the for the fruit that's gonna come from this giving, Lord. Lord, that it produces, Lord. 30, 60, 100fold, Lord. Lord, that it produce produces, Lord, the full potential. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Amen. You know it says that may it produce 30, 60, 100 fold. So, so like right now, if you knew what you was gonna put in there was gonna produce a hundredfold. Like if I said, all right, I got a retirement plan going on. If you'll give me ten dollars today, I'll give you back a thousand dollars. It wouldn't be like, man, I'm giving the ten dollars, right? Like, uh-uh, I'm giving the ten dollars. And you know, and then you'd be like, you know, I don't have the money, but but what you ought to do is is say, well, hey, hey, hey, Pastor Sarah, can you give me $10? Because give her $10 and then spend $20, I have to pay her back. I'll give you double on yours. So give me $10, I'll give you back $30, then you'd still get back $970. Never mind. You you guys are a hard bunch. What I'm saying is to prepare your heart to give. Expect to receive and prepare your heart to give. Amen. Oh, Father, we praise you. Father, we thank you, Lord. We thank you, Lord, that you are the teacher, Lord. We thank you, Lord, you are the way, the truth, and the life, Lord. Lord, as you have your way today, Lord, Lord, may eyes be open today, Lord, may ears be open today, Lord, and hearts to receive it. In Jesus' name, amen. All right. So, so on Pentecost, which was fifty days after Jesus came out of the tomb, and then actually, did you know Jesus was on the earth 40 days in his flesh and bone body after he came out of the tomb? Did you realize that? Did we realize that that he was here here for 40 days in his flesh and bone body after he was risen from the dead? Amen. That's good stuff. And he tells him, hey, go to the upper room and wait. We'll get that into a minute. So, so Jesus didn't come to abolish the law, but to fill the law. So, so what when you think about the law, what do you think about the police. There you go. Tickets, the commandments. Praise the Lord, Miss Pat. Praise the Lord. I thought, boy, we got a lot of work to do here. He didn't come to fulfill the law, to do the yeah, yeah. So, um, so Pentecost, it fulfills um Moses' law on Mount Sinai, and when he wrote on the tablets. See, see, with on then uh when Moses is there, the law was written on tablets, but at Pentecost, now the law is written on your heart. It's good stuff. It's written on your heart. Yeah. So at Mount Sinai they were worshiping idols. When Moses was on the mountain and they were down there, and they decided, well, man, where's Moses at? He's gone. They started making this calf, and then they they started worshiping idols, and then basically 3,000 of them died. Basically 3,000 of them died. But on Pentecost, they were in their upper room all together in one accord, worshiping the Lord, and then 3,000 of them were born again. 3,000 of them were saved. So amen. So he didn't come to uh abolish the law, but he fulfills the law. The law is fulfilled in you. All right. So it ignited the early church, empowering followers to step forward with spirit-led trust. So, so even in the Old Testament, uh, people were still faith safe, we're still born again, we're still saved by faith. But just the same way we are, we're saved by grace through faith. But now, with the Pentecost, it introduced us to like a new dimension of faith. Right? So, before Pentecost, the Spirit visited and came and went. You know, it can't talk about Saul, how the Spirit left Saul and different things, and how it came on people and it and it come and went. But then now, uh after Pentecost, the Spirit Permanent indwells in us to guide us, to power us, to comfort us. So Pastor Sarah talked about that a little bit. I'd mentioned it already, but you know, they're at the woman at the well, and uh, and she says, you know, they say we should worship, our fathers worship here on this mountain. They say we should worship, your people say we should worship in Jerusalem. But he says, he says, I'm telling you that the time's uh coming and is near, basically, is after Jesus rose from the dead. But anyway, uh he said, the time is near when when they'll worship, neither worship there in this mountain, they'll worship me in spirit and truth. When you're worshiping in spirit and truth, then what they're saying is you're the temple. They won't worship me here or there, but but but you're gonna be the temple because he came to dwell inside you and come to live inside you. Amen. So it empowered them to be bold witnesses. They were transformed from fearful followers to bold witnesses, relying on the spirit rather than on their own strength. And it was the birth of the church. Believers went from relying on the temple rituals to a relationship by Holy Spirit by being the temple of God. So, so that is, you know, to understand Holy Spirit. You know, he's not the red-headed stepchild. He he's not the the the long lost ranger. He he's part of the the Trinity. They're one Father, Son, Holy Spirit. They are one. I had a guy arguing, they're trying to argue, I said I ain't arguing with you, but the other day about about like Jesus only, baptizing in the name of Jesus and different things. And uh, I have nothing wrong with baptizing in the name of Jesus. But I don't think you only have to baptize in the name of Jesus. When you make when you make disciples, you go out and make disciples baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, when I'm praying for healing, I might say be healed in the name of Jesus. You know. But uh as they as we think about that and as about um opening our understanding, it's awesome that how the Holy Spirit guides us and leads us and directs us into his understanding. So in uh Luke chapter 24, starting in verse 44. Then he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses and the prophets in the Psalms. So the law of concerning me, the law of Moses, prophets, and the Psalms, he's saying, Well, what's what's been written about me? Because you know there's like a three to four hundred year span between uh Malachi and Matthew, like what's been written about me. So so to fulfill what's going on here basically in your Old Testament. 45. And he opened their understanding that they might comprehend the scriptures. And I'm thinking, so who opened the understanding? The Lord Jesus. Jesus opened their understanding. So he'll open your understanding to you. Like, man, I just got to understand more and more. Well, that's what the Holy Spirit does. The Holy Spirit guides and the Holy Spirit teaches. So you allow the Holy Spirit to open your understanding. Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Right? Open the eyes of my heart. Uh then he said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it is necessary for the Christ to suffer and to raise from the dead the third day. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. There you go. Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you, but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power on high. So, so open uh open my eyes to comprehend the scriptures. So he's in there, and then he then he tells them, you know, but but but wait here until you're endued with power on high. I mean, even the crickets, I think, can be endued from power on high. Praise the Lord. You know, he said, if they won't praise me, the rocks will cry out and praise me. Like the trees will cry out and praise me, like the the chairs will start praising him. That's how much the world thinks of him. Amen. And John 20, 21, 22. And he said, Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I'm sending you. Then he breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit. So, so this here is before Jesus told them to go to the upper room and wait. He said, Breathe on you and receive the Holy Spirit. Okay. So we're talking about not to abolish the law, but to fulfill the law. So when He breathed on them, he says, they receive the Holy Spirit. And when you're when you're born again, as many as received him, to them he gave the right to be children of God. So when you're born again, you receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes to live inside you when you're born again. Thank you, Lord. Like the same power that rose Jesus from the grave come to live inside you. Inside you. Like he really is. Look, well, I thought I was here just helpless and meek and worthless and couldn't do anything, and he was in control of everything, and and and like God gave dominion over to Adam and Eve. God gave dominion over to Adam and Eve. And Adam and Eve chose not to walk in the way of the Lord. Then they give dominion over to Satan. But then God provided us a way back in him. God can do anything he wants to. I agree with that, but God chooses to follow his word. He chooses to walk by his word. He chooses to watch over his word to perform it. But there is some things that God cannot do. Oh my gosh. Can God lie? He can't lie, can he? And you're and you're not robots. He can't make you, he can't make you choose to love him. He can't make you choose to do different things. It's something in your own heart. You have a free will. Aren't you glad you have a free will? You have a free will when you go up to to get something to eat, you know, you're like, all right, we're all today, we're having rice cakes and and sardines. You know, some like, yeah, praise the Lord. And hot water. Yeah, but but but no, we we have choices on what we want to do, and he gave us a choice. He gave us a choice whether to choose him and follow him or whether to not. So he says, Peace be with you, as the Father has sent me, I'm sending you. Then he breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit. In John 16, 12 through 15. He says, There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can't bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own will, but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine. This is why I said the Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me. Amen. Amen. Now, isn't it interesting there that Jesus is there, that the Son of God is there with him. He's like, you guys can't bear, you guys bear, you guys can't take on any more what I'm trying to tell you. But I'm telling you, it's good that I must go. It's in a different uh gospel, but in a different gospel. He said, It's good that I must go. I'll send another. The Holy Spirit, he'll teach you. But but Jesus said, You know, you know, it's good. This is wait, the Holy Spirit will teach you. The Holy Spirit will guide you, the Holy Spirit will direct you. Amen. So Acts chapter 2. So do you attend a new covenant church or an old covenant church? Do you tend to attend a New Testament church or an old testament church? I had someone ask me that one time. I was like, no, this is getting weird. Right? Yeah, this is getting weird. You're asking me if I attend a New Testament church or an old testament church. Do you tend to attend a new covenant or an old covenant? Are you a new covenant Christian or are you an old covenant Christian? New covenant Christian. What's a new covenant Christian? The blood supplied, Jesus is arose, Pentecost. Yeah, you're you're a new covenant Christian. You you you're fulfilling the law. You're the hands and feet of Jesus. That's who you are. Amen. Come on. On the day of Pentecost, praise the Lord. All the believers were meeting in one place. Suddenly there was a sound from heaven like a roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then what looked like flames of tongues of fire appeared and settled on each one of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages. The Holy Spirit gave them this ability. So, so what are we we thinking about? Like like when the they're up here in this room and then and then they just start speaking of other tongues. You know, I've been in some different churches. I've been in some churches where where they just ignored the Holy Spirit. Uh I've been uh in tongues, and I've been uh in some churches where where they said, well, tongues is of the devil. You know, I've been in both of them, but but I'm telling you, tongues is not of the devil. I'm telling you, uh he speaks through his people, through uh uh he speaks mysteries through his people in 1 Corinthians chapter 14. It says, When I when I pray in tongues, my my spirit is being edified. You're being edified, and you begin to be edified, then you begin to prophesy. See, tongues and interpretation equals prophecy. Paul said, I wish you all spoken tongues. So they're here in this upper room, and all these people together, and it said they all were present, were uh was filled with the Holy Spirit, began speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. At that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. When they heard the loud noise, everyone came running, and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being spoken by believers. They were completely amazed, how can this be? They exclaimed, and these people are all from Galilee. And yet we hear them speaking in our own languages. So all of them were from Rocky Comfort, yet all these people heard them speaking in their own languages. Right? There you go. We hear Parthians and Medes, Elamites, people from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocea, Pontius, and the province of Asia. Pigeria, Pamphylia, Egypt, and the areas of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Christians and Arabs. We hear all these people speaking in our own language about the wonderful things God have done. So what was they speaking? They were speaking in their own language. Yep, and there were 16 different ones there. If you count them out, there are 16 different ones. But what things were they speaking? Wonderful things of God, right? They were speaking about the wonderful things of God. They wasn't speaking death, they were speaking life. I'm telling you, when there's a tongue and interpretation, it'll bring life, it'll bring edification to the body, it'll bring edification to the church. Amen. They stood there amazed and perplexed. Anyone ever been amazed and perplexed? I'm amazed, I'm amazed, but I'm perplexed at this here. What can this mean? They ask each other. But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, They're just drunk, that's all. So so we got we got two different things going on right there. We got man, this is awesome, man. This is great, man, man. I hear them speaking in our own language. I hear them speaking the wonderful works of God. I hear them doing this. And then we got another group over here that's like, man, they're crazy. They're crazy, they're drunk. Yeah. It is true they're full of new wine. Yeah. The new wine of Jesus. Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, I listen carefully, all of you fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem. Make no mistake about this. These people are not drunk, as some of you are assuming. It's 9 o'clock in the morning, too early for that. Know what you see predicted long ago by the prophet Joel. In the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit upon all people. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your monk, young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my spirit, even on my even on my servants. Men and women. I'm telling you, it seems like there's a deal in the body of Christ that's that's beaten down women to make them think that they're worthless and they're not worth anything and they're less than, but but that's not true. The word of God says, My men servants and my maidservants, and they will prophesy. Amen. And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire, and clouds and clouds of smoke. The sun will become dark and the moon will turn blood red before the great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Amen. And it's and it says, and it says, in that day, in that day, three thousand were added. On the day of Pentecost, on the day of Pentecost, when they were they were in the upper room and they were praying in the spirit in tongues. Now we don't have an upper room here, but let's just say that you were out in the red barn behind the house and you were praying. And so they're out there praying, and it's loud enough that they're praying that the whole town hears it to come over there. You know? You know, it was up there and they were praying, and it got out of hand, and Peter got up there and said, Now, now people, you're getting a little out of hand with this Holy Spirit thing. You know, you better you better calm it down. You bet you better shut down this Holy Spirit. I know it's like the first day he's been here, but but we need to get him shut down because I mean, I don't know what's going to happen if we if we let him go. I don't know what's going to happen if we if we yield to what he wants to do. I don't know what's going to happen if we do this. So we need to get this shut down. But but he says, no, no, no, no, no, they aren't crazy. You know, it might be nine o'clock in the morning, but but but they're not drunk. And he says, he says, you know, my my sons and my daughters will prophesy. And he says, 3,000 of them were saved that day. And then some of them were really mad because of what was going on. And I'm telling you, it's no different today. It's no different now than it was over 2,000 years ago on the cross of Calvary. But I'm telling you, if you'll stand on the Word of God, if you'll speak the Word of God, if you'll preach the Word of God, if you'll not back off what the Word of God says, you're, you're, you will still see people saved. You'll see a people born again. You'll still see people set free. I'm telling you that that word saved in your in your Greek, in your New Testament, that word saved is the word sozo, which is above this pool right over here, and it means it means saved, healed, set free, delivered, made whole. I'm telling you, you're a spirit that has a soul that lives in a body. I'm telling you that healing is for now today. If you're born again, uh that's the only way you'll get to heaven, but if you're born again, uh your spirit does not need healing. I hear people say, well, well, I'll be healed when I'm in heaven. I'm telling you, you don't need to be healed when you're in heaven. I'm telling you, your spirit is just as pure right now as it's going to be in heaven. Now, some of the stuff around your spirit and the crap going on in your life will be different, but as far as the Holy Spirit that lives inside you be just as pure now as it'll be today in heaven. So I'm telling you that healing is for today. I'm telling you, healing is for your body. I'm telling you, your spirit has a soul that lives in a body. Uh, deliverance is for your mind, will, and emotions, and I'm telling you, that is for today, and it's gonna happen today. Amen. Amen. Amen. And I'm not backing off of it. I'm not standing down. But when you begin to see that when you start standing on the word of God, when you start drawing closer to God, then then people don't like that so well. People don't like that so well, especially the religious people, especially the religious people don't like that so well. When I was um uh baptizing the Holy Ghost back in in 2018, um I was baptizing the Holy Ghost in 2018, I was a different church, but but anyway, uh where that was, that was kind of the devil. You know, and oh man, the the devil's got a hold of Dan and this and that, and and and people's telling my wife, saying, you know, hey, hey, you know, uh the devil's got a hold of Dan, and and you just you just listen to God, but you don't listen to anything your husband says. But but I began to see that uh actually I went to a Bible study and uh sat down there, and the guy's first thing, words that come out of the guy's mouth was, there's four of us guys there. He said, Boys, you don't need me. You need to learn to let the Holy Spirit lead you. And I thought, I've never heard that before. And maybe it had been said before and I hadn't heard it. I'm not saying that. A lot of things we don't hear, right? They're said, they might have been said my whole life, but but that day I heard it. So so that day I heard it and I thought, you know what? I'm I'm gonna start start doing that. I'm just gonna let the Holy Spirit lead my life. And and a few days later, uh, I was actually down in my basement. There's a situation that went on, and I was down in my basement. I'd learned to plead the blood. And actually, Sarah said it was okay to go to this this Bible study, but but Sarah really didn't mean it was okay to go to the Bible study. She just said I could go, but but anyway, she didn't wives, tell your husband, like, if you mean no, say no. If you mean yes, say yes. Yeah, don't tell them one thing and then do the other. Well, you knew what I meant. No, no, I thought she wanted to eat at McDonald's. You said we could eat anywhere we wanted. But but uh, but she said she said yes, but but she meant no. So I come back and I'm talking about about learning how to how to plead the blood and about the the last Adam and different things like that. And and she's like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, uh I don't know about this whole blood thing, and I don't know anything about this this uh last Adam and this and that. So she's she's kind of freaking out a little bit, and of course she don't talk, we're not talking at that point, and and uh uh but then she gets in the scriptures and starts seeing it. Hey, there's there is power in the blood, there is this, there is a a last Adam. His name is Jesus. There there is one of those. And so, and and the Lord put put people in our lives, but but but what I'm saying is is um um thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. What I'm saying is keep standing on the word of God. Don't back off the word of God. The distractions that are coming against your life are to keep you off the word of God. You might think they're trying to destroy your family, you might try to think they're trying to destroy your relationships, you might try to think they're destroying your job, you might try to think they're destroying your health, but what they're really actually doing is trying to destroy your walk with God. So so they tell so they tell Sarah, now now Dan's crazy, he's lost his mind, don't let listen to anything he says, uh just listen to what the Lord says, which is terrible advice. Um but anyway, I just thought, you know what, God? I told the Lord that day. I said, Lord, I'll follow you no matter what. No matter what, I'll follow you. Even if it's just me and me alone, I'll follow you. But Lord, can I please have my wife? And I didn't know much about the the word of God at that time, just enough to be dangerous, but but uh uh anyway, he said yes, and then I knew that that God couldn't lie, so I knew any any situation that we were going through, uh if it looked like it was the end, then I knew that that that wasn't the truth because God said that we'd be together. So God said we'd be together, so so uh I just kept standing on that and and I learned to apply the the blood of Jesus and and you know it's pretty you know, you don't have to get a hyssop branch anymore to apply the blood of Jesus and sacrifice an animal and all that. Uh you can apply the blood of Jesus just with your hands. So so as we was laying in bed, no, I'll not get graphic, but as we're laying in bed, you know, I just I just rub her and caress her and like well, I apply the blood of Jesus. I thank you, Lord. We're we're one and this just under my breath, she couldn't hear me. Thank you, Lord. We're just just one in you, Lord, Lord. What men put together, you know, what you put together may no man separate and and and different things. And I probably didn't get that technical because I didn't know that much then. But I'm telling you that there's power in the blood. But but what got her was was I would rub on her for hours and then not expect anything in return. Does any man here get it? Does any wife here get it? So I would rub on her, just pleading the blood, because I was at a point in my life that there's no way I could get my life lying back out unless I rejected what God had told me. Okay? Have you ever been in a in a situation until you're in a situation, until you're in a situation that man, there's no way out of here unless I basically reject Christ. And that wasn't ever mentioned, but but I just knew that. So I just kept standing on the word. I just kept standing on the word. I just kept speaking life over the situation. No, Lord, you're you said, Lord, we'd be one. Lord, you said this, Lord, you said that. And I just kept speaking life over the situation. Now I didn't argue with her. You know what stops a lot of arguments? Silence. You know what you know it takes two to argue? It takes two to argue. You know, and if if you go up there, all right, Caneo, I've about had enough of you. I'm about to kick you in the in the training center rear end, and then this and that, you really make me mad, and then then if they don't say nothing back, it's like it gets awkward. But that's what that's what the enemy's wanting to do. The enemy's wanting you to get to arguing with each other. The enemies wanting to get to argue with your co-workers, your spouse, your family. Their enemy's wanting you to get to arguing with them because when he gets you arguing with each other, then he doesn't have to do nothing because you're doing all the work. And he's like, This is great. I got them working for me, and I don't even have to tell them what to do. They're sitting there just destroying their own life. But uh, but I wouldn't argue. And I wouldn't say, well, have you got your stuff straight yet? You know, and all this stuff I I don't know, you know. Now I know like there's no condemnation in Christ Jesus, but but at this point, you know, like the Holy Spirit really will guide you and teach you. And then then you learn through that. So don't ever think, well, I can't get through this situation because I don't know, I don't know enough knowledge. That's not true. You can get through that situation because the Holy Spirit is with you, and if you'll let Him guide you and lead you and direct you and give you the words to say, and then and then He'll start, then He'll He'll start showing you things. Like I could say, man, Sarah, you look beautiful today. I like the way your hair's done, and uh, I really like that that pink shirt you got on. And then she'd like chew me out. Not today. Not today. No, I'm talking about I think everyone gets to the past. Everybody getting this in the past? All right, all right, all right, sir, they all got it. So all right. So so in the past, when we were going through this situation, and I'd say, Man, you look beautiful today, and and I look like that pink shirt, and he said, You think my shirt's ugly and my hair's terrible? I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm like, what did you think I said? You said my shirt looked terrible and my hair was even worse. And I'm like, no. No, I I said that your hair looked great and your shirt was beautiful. And and through that, I began to realize that whatever you think is what you hear. Because they had convinced her that I was possessed of the devil. So if you think your spouse, your friend, your husband, your, you know, if you think your family, your co-workers, uh anybody, if you think anyone's possessed of the devil, no matter what they say comes out of their mouth, that's what you're gonna hear. So I began to say, no, no, no, no, no. That's what's that's not what I said. I said this. I said this. I said, I love you. I said we're gonna make it. I said we're strong. I said this. And you know what got her more you know what got her to come back more than anything? What was it?

And I'm telling you, our relationship's stronger now than it has ever been. It'll be 31 years in a couple weeks. But we've learned that the Holy Spirit guides you and teaches you and directs you. We've learned that that word really does work. We've we've learned that he watches over his word to perform it. We've learned to take him at his word. We've we've learned that he took on our sicknesses and bore our diseases. We've learned that he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of his peace upon him by his stripes were healed. We've learned that we can take thoughts captive that exalt their self against our God. We've learned that if we submit to God, resist the devil, he will flee. We've learned that if we draw near to God, he'll draw near to us. We've learned that if we hunger and thirst for righteousness, we will be filled. Like we we've learned that. And I'm telling you, the Holy Spirit will guide you, lead you, and direct you, but but there's some stuff you have to do on your own. You're like, well, the Holy Spirit just guide me and lead me and direct me, and I'll go out and do what I want to. No, he'll say, you know, I really wish you wouldn't go over there and do that. But you may choose to go over there and do that anyway. So you're going against what God's telling you. Now, God still loves you and all this, but but you've allowed uh an opening for Satan to come in and and and and destroy your thoughts and your and your actions and everything. Thank you, Lord. But I'm telling you, the Holy Spirit wants to guide you, wants to lead you, wants to direct you. So so there were things that that I had to do. It's been, man, almost ten years now, probably nine years ago. Um I was at church before before I was here, but anyway, I was at church and and a guy came up to me and and said, Dan, how do I stop a habit? And instantly when he said that, the Lord said to me, How can I tell him how to stop a habit when I can't stop a habit? And and my habit was overeating. And uh I don't know. So I had to, I realized then that I needed to lose some weight. I was I was a lot overweight, my uh cholesterol, triglycerides, all them numbers were were very high. And uh I had to choose uh so I went on a diet that that wasn't the best. I lost like 50 pounds, and then I gained it back, or gained back 20. And then I went to a a dietitian, I went to a lady her name's Mindy, and she taught me how to eat. Like now I know I know what I can eat and what amounts, and and you can actually eat a whole lot of stuff if you eat the right amounts. You know, like if they had a food group table, and then you, you know, kind of like we're taught in school, but if you'll eat the right amounts of them, but you're like, well, I'm just gonna do all dairy today, only ice cream today. But but but but but if you'll eat, but but anyway, um she taught me how to eat. And so now I I eat, my taste buds have changed now, so it's good, but but at first I had to eat by choices for my body. I had to be like, well, I mean, we was like our meals consisted of bread, macaroni and cheese, fried potatoes, and corn. What vegetable do you want? Give me corn. Well, corn does grow in a garden, but corn is considered a starch. So anyway, anyway, so so I had to begin to choose. No, no, I I'm gonna start eating green beans and broccoli. I'm gonna start eating uh cauliflower. You know, I I don't you know, you're like, she's like, now what was awesome is she saying, now if you'll follow this program to the T in this many in in like 12 weeks you'll lose 20 pounds. I'm like, and you're telling me if I do exactly what this says and don't do nothing, then I'll be right there. And and I beat it by like a couple weeks. But she's like, now now no more bacon and eggs for breakfast. No more sausage. Well, what do you want me to have for breakfast? Well, I want you to have yogurt and and 12 almonds and and and a banana. You're you're telling me in 12 weeks if I'll do this. I'm like, now you don't understand. I I'm I'm a farmer and I work, and I work, and I need food to fuel this body. I promise you you'll still live. And I did. And now I eat, and I'm not saying you're wrong for eating bacon and eggs and stuff for breakfast. No, don't get me wrong. I'm saying for me, in my house, my temple, I choose to eat this way. So, so there's things I had to do, and I went up and down a few pounds, but for the most part, I've stayed the same for nine years. But I say all that to tell you this there's some things you gotta do in your walk of God that you have to make drastic changes to do that. You know, I used to watch games. If I was in the house, I was watching game shows. Not that there's nothing wrong with game shows, but 24 hours of them in a day, right? Eight hours of them in a day. Hey, did you pray? Well, I didn't got time today. Yeah, but how was family feud? Yeah. Yeah, how was this? How was that, you know, and them watching stuff. And I I can tell you, um, for the most part, everyone in here, you you have time to be in the word of God. You have time to pray, pray, but but we choose to do other things instead of that. We choose to do other things instead of that. Maybe you could do with just a little bit less of Facebook. Maybe we could quit gossiping and backbiting and doing something. Do you know what so-and-so did to me? Do you know this and that? They don't need to hear that, especially your mama. Thank you, Lord. So the Lord gives the Holy Spirit. We're almost there. Luke 11, 9 through 13. We talked about this last week a little bit about asking, keep on asking. And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask. For keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be open to you. So last week when when we was uh you're good, Andrew, go one more. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who seeks finds, and everyone who knocks the door will be open. So so we're talking about about on uh on asking the Lord, and and and you know, when we ask the Lord in in faith, then we don't have to keep asking him over and over after we ask him the first time we keep thinking. So so this is the same verse that I mentioned last week, but we we we just keep you just keep asking him for different things. He wants to meet your needs. All right, verse 11. You fathers, if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a steak instead? No. Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not. So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask? So who gives the Holy Spirit? God gives the Holy Spirit. Okay, Matthew 3, 11. I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God, but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am, so much greater that I'm not worthy even to be his slave to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. So God's the one that gives it, Jesus is the one that does it. Okay? All right. In Acts 13, 52. And the believers were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. And it's it's what is what it's saying here, and they were continually filled. See, there there is a continual filling of the Holy Spirit. Do you ever leak out? Do you ever leak out? And the believers were filled with you know, and not just the Holy Spirit, the joy. I'm thinking, amen. How about some of that joy in here this morning that were continually filled with him? Amen. So they were, so he's in the Jesus was with them uh right before he told them to uh go to the upper room and wait until they're indued with power on high. He he breathed on them, which represents New Testament salvation. He breathed on them, they received the Holy Spirit, then they went into the upper room and they were endued with power on high. You know, Peter didn't, you never hear Peter going back fishing uh after he was endued with power on high. Uh the biggest part of the disciples uh uh were were murdered uh to death, but they they just kept standing on the on the word of God. So so I'm telling you today that there is a a Holy Spirit fire baptism that empowers you to um to do the work of the ministry. You know, you can you could be uh uh uh when you're born again, the spirit comes in you, and when you're baptized with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit comes up on you for the work of the ministry. So today, amen, you can put something on, Andrew. So today, we're gonna pray for people to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Amen. And maybe you never have been filled with the Holy Spirit. I'm not saying you have never received Christ as your Savior. I'm saying that you haven't been filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. But before we do that, I want to give the opportunity. Maybe you never have surrendered your life to Christ. Maybe you never have received him as your Savior. Maybe you never have repented, changed directions from the way you're living, and went towards Him. His word says, if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Word says, for as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God. God wants you to be his child. God wants everyone on the earth to be his child. He come to seek and save that which is lost. He come for everyone. So maybe that's you today and you've never surrendered your life to Christ. Maybe that's you today and you've had some stuff in your life that that you've opened up. Like I said, rejected the Holy Spirit, and you've opened up to go into your life. But either one today, is there anyone here today? Let me stand up. Is there anyone here today that like, you know what, I want to make him Lord? I want to make him Lord. Man, to be to be a child of God, to be entitled to the benefits of God is awesome. Anyone in here today? 1 Corinthians 14 starts out, pursue love. If what you're doing is not done out of love, then the gifts and everything you're doing in your life is like a clanging gong or cymbal, basically. Pursue love and desire spiritual. The New King James, the gifts is italicized. Kind of added for clarity, but but if you take that out, because it was added later, pursue love and desire spiritual, but especially that you may prophesy. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. My dad, he's with the Lord right now, and at 80 years old he was born again and grew in faith for a hundred days. It was awesome to watch. You invite people to church and and you know, then you're like, Well, I hope today nothing crazy happens. But I'm telling you, the Holy Spirit is not crazy. And I had to get through that with some of my mind. But every time Dad would come, there'd be a tongue and interpretation. I remember the first time, and I'm like, Dad, what'd you think about church? And he's like, I don't know. Well, well, what about it? Well, that that tongue stuff. Well, what about that tongue stuff? Well, I don't believe it. Okay, Dad. Well, what do you believe then? Well, I don't know. So it's not that you don't believe it, it's just that you don't understand it. Yeah, yeah, it's just that I don't understand it. You know, and then I give him give him the word. So I'm telling you, this is a a church, this is a body that stands on the word of God. And we agreed that all the gifts are in operation for today. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men to God. So I was reading, I was reading dad here, I said, Well, Dad, for for he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. And I said, Do you think it's good to speak to God? Well, yeah. However, in the Spirit, he speaks mysteries. But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. Now it'd be a little awkward if I got up here and I was just like, Hundamboroko, shandanaki, and then I did that for like an hour. You know, I did that for like an hour and there wasn't no interpretation. That that would be that would be out of order. But tongues and interpretation equals prophecy. Who prophesies speaks edification, exhortation, and comfort of man. Who speaks the tongue edifies himself. I was like, now Dad, do you think it's good to be edified for yourself? See, sometimes we've got to learn to go to him to be edified. He's the only one that can edify you. I can point you to him, I can guide you to him, I can direct you towards him. But it's only Holy Spirit, it's only the Lord that that will edify you. And it goes on down through there. And Paul says, we won't get into it today. But uh Paul says, I prefer you all spoken tongues. You know, and when you're raised certain ways, you think how you were raised. So I had to be like, Lord, like I said earlier, wipe my mind away and start me all over. But really, tongues and interpretations, gifts of healings, working in miracles, uh, prophecy, discernment, um, interpretations. All of them are that's that's normal Christianity. A church that that prays in tongues together, a church that that speaks in tongues together and interprets, that that's normal. Someone might say, well, well, that's crazy. No, no, no, that's normal. You're really not normal if you're not praying in the spirit. And not degrading, not that, not saying you're not you're not born again. But but Paul said, you know, you know, you know, I prefer. I prefer, you know, I prefer to be edified. I I prefer to prefer to be to be uh changed. I prefer to know him more. Because really, a lot of times when we're praying out of our mind, you know, we start praying our own wants, needs, and desires. But but I want what what God's wants, needs, and desires are on me. So I'm gonna ask, um, thank you, Lord.

Um we're gonna we're gonna pray. We're not gonna speak in tongues and interpret. If someone has us speaking in tongues and interpret, great, come up here and tell me. But as of right now, we're gonna we're gonna pray. Decently and in order, because I'm telling you, we're gonna pray. Do you understand we're praying? I'm joking. All right, so we're gonna pray. So I'm gonna encourage you. Pray in English, pray in the spirit, whatever, but just kind of pray um kind of just softly in English and in the spirit. And then I want to give the opportunity, um, if you've never been filled with the Holy Spirit, empowered to do the work of God, empowered by Him, power of just supernatural love. And you want to do that right now. He says, and the reason I give that verse, how much more will the Lord give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him? Well, how do I know it's the Lord giving it to me? Because you ask him for it. You're not gonna ask him for tongues and he give you devil tongues. Now there is a demonic tongue. I'm not saying forever real, there's a fake. I'm not saying that. But if you come asking the Lord to give you Holy Spirit tongues, he's gonna give you Holy Spirit tongues. I'm telling you, you you you use them and then you keep on praying in them. And you keep on being edified. And it'll start out, and the enemy be like, Well, what are you doing? You're just wasting your time, you're just making that up. And the reason you know the enemy would say that, because the Lord would never tell you that, because the Lord says when you're praying in the spirit, you're being edified. You're speaking directly to Him. And you begin to pray that, you know, starting out a few minutes at a time, working yourself up in time in that, you know, whenever uh free time you have, just praying in the Spirit, I'm telling you, your life will be transformed. I'm not saying stuff won't come against you, but I'm saying when stuff comes against you, you'll have the peace, you'll have the comfort, you'll have the answers, you'll have the words. So anyone today that wants to be filled with the Holy Spirit overflowing. Let's stand up. That's anybody in here right now. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Let me ask you this then. Anyone need a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit? Disciples said they were continually filled. Continually filled. Father, we praise you. Father, we thank you, Lord. Lord, we speak a fresh infilling, Lord. From the top of their heads to the tip of our toes. Lord, we believe your word. Lord, we stand on your word, Lord. Lord, we believe your word when it says when we're praying in the spirit, we're being edified, Lord. Lord, I believe your word that you said you prefer we all spoke to you, Lord. I thank you, Lord, when we're praying in in the spirit, Lord. We're we're praying your your your perfect will, Lord, for any situation that's going on in in the lives, whoever it may be, Lord. I think a lot of times we get confused like tongues was um that tongues was like, oh, the people heard it in their language. But you have to realize a hundred and twenty people praying by the spirit, but the sound was so loud you really think they heard it in their language the way we're thinking they heard it in the spirit glorifying God. So it's just showing that tongues is speaking to God, but it's also speaking to man through the spirit. Because you know that they didn't hear their language. It was so loud with every 120 people in one voice.
